We know it’s like the heat wave outside but that doesn’t mean we can’t post some snowy photographs, right? At least thinking about snow makes the heat a bit more bearable. Not that i complain, i love summer and i’m really happy that the weather is sunny since that means a lot of engagement sessions done on time and also that we’ll have pretty weather(and nice sea temperatures) next week at the seaside. Ok, back to the snow. I’m not really sure how to start this post. Blažka and Martijn picked their date on our availability(that’s simply such an honor!) because they wrote to us that when they started planning their wedding they invisioned us to be their wedding photographers and they can’t have it any other way. Yaaaaay! They are probably the couple we’ve spent the most time with like ever(before the wedding). Our first meeting was more than two hours long and we talked more about other things that wedding related stuff. And it probably would have been even longer if we didn’t had another meeting planned for later that afternoon. And we’ve spent around 7 hours with them on the day of their engagement session since we drove together to the location which takes a bit more than an hour in one way and drove back of course and we’ve stopped for a delicious pastry in Bled on our way back. These two are so fun to be around and we loved getting to know them so much before they tie the knot next week. And to think that they almost couldn’t book us because we were already booked on their first wedding date choice.
They decided for a snowy engagement sessions and when i say that plan wasn’t the easiest option this winter it’s true. We didn’t had that much snow this winter so finding it in the valleys was not easy so we decided to go more into the mountain region and we decided for Pokljuka. It was already feeling like spring in the city so we didn’t know what to expect, but there was enough snow(a few meters to be exact) to capture their engagement sessions and we even found some fairytale like winter huts that fit in perfectly! Blažka and Martijn, we’re so looking forward to your big day!
